* The BRF fees (€1.05/per day/mice cage, €2.10 per day/per rat cage) covers standard husbandry within the BRF. The service includes food, bedding, and cleaning. The BRF will also provide weaning if requested at no further charge.
BRF charges are issued to PI’s on a monthly basis. Reimbursement of these fees are required within 30 days of issue. Failure to pay monthly fees will result in suspension of your access to the BRF.
Whilst every effort is made to maintain a clean animal health status within the BRF, it is not always possible to guarantee that a breakdown will not occur. If an infection is found in the animal facility, this will be treated, where possible, at no additional cost to the researcher, unless it has been found to originate from a proven source. The BRF cannot accept financial responsibility for infections therefore there will be no compensation awarded to researchers if a breakdown of health status occurs.
