Research

The School of Nursing & Midwifery has a long-standing track record in the provision of research training to nurses and midwives.

As a School our aim is to engage in even more progressive types of healthcare research, placing the School and its students at the cutting edge of improvements in how nurses, midwives and other healthcare workers deliver better outcomes for patients and their families. We currently offer research opportunities in wounds and tissue viability, care of the older person, paediatrics, mental health and educational leadership .

As a research student at the RCSI School of Nursing & Midwifery,  you will benefit from the close working and helping relationship with your supervisors, with the aim of you completing your studies in a timely manner and delivering a final research product that will have a high impact on healthcare.

If you are ambitious and are interested in pursuing research in any of the five areas mentioned above, please register your details with Dr Declan Patton for more information.
