Process for all AV support requests

The following process is in place for all AV support requests

  1. Organisers, users and lecture support etc.. should be aware of, and be able to manage, the AV control systems and equipment in the rooms they are using. These systems are intuitive but we recommend that if organising / hosting an event for the first time or need some refresher training, that you familiarise yourself with the AV technology in the room and have a test run a day or so in advance.
  2. Media Services do offer training/demos, in advance, for all users/lecturers who need to learn how to use these, or do a refresher course if required.
    We can arrange a suitable time for the tech to meet you, or someone from your team in advance, to go through the systems/equipment and answer any questions you have.
  3. We regularly check and test rooms to ensure the AV is working and can check a specific room in the days in advance (when its available) if someone has a particular requirement or concern.

In the event that there is any AV issue with the equipment, users can contact the Media Services team on 402 2170 or by email mediaservices@rcsi.com  (Monday- Friday 8am – 8pm) and one of the team will assist as soon as they are available.

Media Services don’t manage MS Teams calls / wifi / network or passwords etc..
