Estate & Support Services

This is an exciting time for Estate & Support Services team (E&SS), the integrated estates strategy captures a vision of the RCSI estate comprising of the St Stephen’s Green (SSG) Campus and reference to some of other satellite buildings including our teaching hospitals and research facilities across Ireland.

The SSG campus is currently not large enough to facilitate the College ambitious growth strategy, in particular around the growth in the StAR programme. The estate strategy enables the College to continue building upon its strengths. To this end E&SS embraces the College’s ambitious plans for continued sustainable growth in its estates.

The E&SS department is determined and continue to modernise and achieve a step change to deliver its mission statement. We committed to build an environment in which international teaching and research thrive and which will promote a world class student experience. The emphasis is upon creating an environment for the College community to realise its ambitions and aspirations while contributing to the benefit of human health.

The Estates strategy has been developed with consultation from a range of internal and external stakeholders. The College Estates team face a range of challenges, not least the implementation of College strategy while managing building condition, compliance, maintenance, budgetary challenges along with student and faculty engagement. In producing this E&SS strategy theses and other factors were taken into account to arrive at a dynamic strategy to support the College strategic plan in manner which is flexible enough to respond to the College needs.
