Meet the team

Ronan Baxter – Director of Estates

I am the Director of Estates at RCSI. My role is to provide leadership and direction to the RCSI  Estates                                                                                                                                                              Department across its many functions including operations, health and safety, campus services,                                                                                                                                                                sustainability and capital projects.

One of my key responsibilities is to ensure the activities of the Estates Department are aligned with the                                                                                                                                                            strategic vision of the organisation and work to support these goals. With the support of the Estates team,                                                                                                                                                          I am focused on providing a world-class service to our students and staff,  to enhance and support the                                                                                                                                                              student experience at RCSI.

 

Collette Power – Head of Operations

My role is to manage the delivery of RCSI Estate, encompassing buildings & property and related                                                                                                                                                                    facilities, infrastructure and services to ensure that we deliver world-class facilities for students, staff                                                                                                                                                                  and visitors.

In addition, I oversee college compliance with health and safety legislative obligations and national                                                                                                                                                                    and international best practice.

Bryan Sheils – Head of Campus Services

My role is responsible for the management of the client and department interface, providing a strong link                                                                                                                                                          to all key stakeholders ensuring there is a seamless approach to the day to day running of the campus.                                                                                                                                                              This is an active and visible role which requires developing and building customer relationships with a                                                                                                                                                    particular focus on security, catering and cleaning and Portering.

Colm Murray – Senior Estate and Property Manager

My role is to ensure that the landlord and tenant operational and financial administration obligations of                                                                                                                                                                RCSI property leases/Licenses and occupational agreements are managed and maintained to the                                                                                                                                                                  required standards.

I also develop and maintain the Estate & support Services computer aided business management                                                                                                                                                          systems enabling operational excellence by the department.

Fergus Durcan – Senior Project Manager

My role involves the management and delivery of capital and operational projects across the campus.                                                                                                                                                                This includes scoping, planning, compliance, technical guidance, scheduling and cost control and covers                                                                                                                                                          a broad range of projects from conservation works, office fit-outs and general construction projects to                                                                                                                                                            utility tenders and process improvement projects.

Darren O’ Leary – Engineering Manager

My role involves the management, technical expertise and guidance for the safe and effective use,                                                                                                                                                                  operation, maintenance and development of the RCSI Estates, Building and Engineering service.                                                                                                                                                                  This includes, but is not limited to Building Fabric Maintenance, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering,                                                                                                                                                                      Services Maintenance, Energy and Utilities Management, Building Management & Telephone System.

Yvette Moffatt – Health & Safety Manager

I am responsible for championing, directing and supporting the implementation of RCSI’s health and                                                                                                                                                                safety management policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation                                                                                                                                                                    and regulations for students, staff and contractors in the performance of their activities at RCSI premises                                                                                                                                                            and RCSI related locations in Ireland.

I am also responsible for managing the health and safety training matrix for University staff and I develop,                                                                                                                                                organise and deliver health and safety training programmes including health and safety induction for staff                                                                                                                                                        and students.  In conjunction with the HR department, manage RCSI’s health and wellbeing strategy                                                                                                                                                                                                       (RCSI Inspire) and developed and deliver health and wellbeing programmes for Staff across all University                                                                                                                                                                    functions and locations.

Matthew Snell – Energy Manager

My role involves the ongoing monitoring and reporting of the campus energy use and carbon emissions                                                                                                                                                                        production, maintenance of the university energy management system, planning and coordinating energy                                                                                                                                                                  related projects, and support the projects team in delivering sustainability initiatives on capital build projects.

Anabel Dominguez – Assistant Project Manager

I am responsible for maintaining and updating the College’s master drawings as well as developing                                                                                                                                                                proposals for the Space Management Team, designing layouts for minor projects in line with the Space                                                                                                                                                                      Planning Standards. Placing Furniture orders on demand as well as assist tendering for bigger scale projects,                                                                                                                                                          assist with Space Planning Committee requirements on proposals, space occupancy, available spaces etc.                                                                                                                                                                                    Keep asset register list to assist with recycling of furniture items in storage. Assist keeping the Estates Portal up                                                                                                                                                            to date in terms of news, new projects comings and finishing, Estates events and staff profiles. Assistance with                                                                                                                                                        helpdesk telephone calls.

Liz McNicholl – Office Manager

My role is to ensure the smooth running of the Estate and Support Services Office.  Assisting the Front of                                                                                                                                                          House Manager in the day to day running of the College with a particular emphasis on portering, security,                                                                                                                             cleaning and catering.

 Brian Casey

Brian Casey – Building Services Supervisor

My role involves the implementation and monitoring of Building Services for RCSI Beaumont Campus and RCSI                                                                                                                                                  facilities in Connolly Hospital and Dardistown Sports Ground. Supervising facility management programmes and                                                                                                                                                        quality systems to create the most satisfying experience for all our users and to ensure their needs while using                                                                                                                                                              our facilities are being met on an on-going basis.

Kevin Armstrong – Campus Services Coordinator

My role is to support the Head of Campus service in the day to day running of the College with a particular                                                                                                                                                        emphasis on security, cleaning & maintenance. I also support the Estate and Support Services administration work and                                                                                                                                                                work requests when needed.

Vesma Purberzina – Project Coordinator

I provide administrative support for the Projects team for Capital projects.

Emese Balogh – Admin Assistant

I am the main point of contact for Estate and Building Services queries including logging and processing Building Services Helpdesk calls and ensuring data uploaded to the Management Information System is current and accurate. Also responsible for processing all department purchase order requests and invoices.

Jadna Garcia – Operations Assistant

My role is to support the office team and facilities team ensuing the effective and efficient operations of the RCSI campus. Also ensure the effective management of the overall Estate Helpdesk function by addressing all calls and emails that are received in a timely and efficient manner. I am also responsible for processing all department purchase order requests and invoices.
