The Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery, at RCSI hosts an Annual International Nursing and Midwifery Research and Education Conference.
The conference – which is one of the oldest conferences in Europe – provides an important forum for practicing nurses and midwives, students, researchers and academics to network, exchange ideas on current research, best clinical practice and ultimately use this up-to-date information to contribute to the enhancement of patient care.
Conference attendees have the opportunity to listen to keynote and plenary papers are delivered by renowned national and international speakers, addressing the professional values of nursing and midwifery. Concepts such as person-centred care, compassion and dignity are explored at length by nurse and midwife researchers and policy-makers, while concurrent research papers, covering a diverse range of professional, clinical, methodological, leadership and policy issues, are also presented on the day.
