The Response Protocol – Suspected or Positive update Feb 2022 document has been prepared by the Health & Safety Office and BCP Team. The objective of the protocol document is to outline the actions to be taken by RCSI staff in the event of a suspected or positive COVID-19 result.
It is proposed that RCSI will conduct internal contact tracing, and in parallel with, the standard HSE contact tracing process.
The document sets out the responsibilities of
• RCSI Employees
• The H & S Office
• The HR Partner for the area concerned
• Line Managers
The Protocol is broken down into an infection containment section to both reduce the incidence rate and to limit potential transmission and a response strategy protocol section for both suspected cases and confirmed cases to ensure that we can act swiftly and decisively as an RCSI community.
