Open Access Policy:

Open Access maximizes access to RCSI research outputs through open access publishing or deposit in a repository. The RCSI Open Access Policy explains author responsibilities and compliance with funder policies.

RDM policy:

Good management of research data is fundamental to effective research including data retention and disposal. The RCSI Research Data Management Policy 2018 applies to all College members engaged in research, including staff and research students, and those who are conducting research on behalf of the College. It applies to all research irrespective of funding.

Open Science: publishing, research assessment and reputation

On 4th December 2019 RCSI held a half-day symposium on Open Science, featuring talks from:

Dr Patricia Clarke, Programme Manager- Policy and EU Funding Health Research Board (HRB); Co-Chair National Open Research Forum –HRB NORF Presentation.

Dr Marion Boland, Head of Research Policy SFI –SFI Presentation.

Dr John Donovan, Head of Research TU Dublin – TU Presentation.

This was followed by a discussion and Q&A with the audience chaired by Kate Kelly, Director RCSI Library Services and featuring the speakers plus Professor Gianpiero Cavalleri, RCSI School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences (PBS).
