Golf Society

The RCSI Golf Society was formed in 1990 and the first golf outing took place at Beaverstown Golf Club on October 4th 1990 at 2.30pm. Since then, the Golf Society has played an important role in providing a social outlet for staff members and students to meet and share a few hours at the mercy of the Irish weather.

The RCSI Golf Society AGM is held in November each year and committee members are elected for the year.

The Society arranges four golf outings annually. Each year’s list includes some wonderful courses that will appeal to beginners and experienced golfers alike. All society outings are sponsored and a range of prizes are offered across categories including a visitor’s prize, longest drive and nearest the pin. Other awards include Presidents Perpetual Trophy, Captains Perpetual Trophy, Matchplay trophy and Player of the Year.

The Golf Society welcomes beginners and experienced golfers from staff and postgraduate students in RCSI and associated hospitals. The cost of joining the Society is €20.00 (€10 for retired members/postgraduates).
