The IT department supports computer equipment provided by the department, and can advise only on a ‘best efforts’ basis about computer equipment directly purchased by Research departments.
Future Projects and Studies
IT should always be consulted early in any project or research study that may include purchase of specialist equipment that may need be connected to the RCSI network, and definitely before any commitment to purchase. Projects involving external collaborators may also require complex security configuration and advice from the RCSI Data Protection Officer.
