Due to Covid-19 the following changes have been implemented to ensure the health and safety of RCSI Staff, Students and the IT Support team.

ALL IT queries and issues must be logged through the IT Helpdesk. Visits to the on-site IT support desk is by appointment only.

On-site appointments will be for 15 minutes only. We would request that appointment times be respected as late arrivals may not be accommodated.

To make an appointment

  • Contact the IT Helpdesk by online or by phone. If the issue is urgent please contact the Helpdesk by phone.
  • The Helpdesk team will take details of the issue/request and will make an appointment for you to visit the on-site support desk. The Helpdesk will send email confirmation with your IT ticket reference and your appointment time.
  • On arrival please wait at the door of the IT department and a Desk Side engineer will greet you. Please have your ticket reference ready.
  • If you are bringing hardware (laptop, phone etc.) please use the wipes provided to wipe down your equipment before handing over to the IT engineer. Dispose of the wipes in the waste bin.
  • The engineer will attempt to resolve the issue within your 15 minute appointment. If the engineer cannot resolve the issue during your visit we will ask you to leave your device with us. We will contact you to collect your repaired device at an allotted time.
