Computer Room Bookings

The primary purpose of the Computer Room, Level 1, 26 York Street, is to ensure all students can access network learning resources and services such as the digital e-Library and Moodle during York Street opening hours.

The Computer Room is equipped with 32 fixed PCs and a tutor PC and AV facilities include two overhead projectors and screens.  The PCs sit on the RCSI network.  Presenters can log in using either their RCSI credentials or the generic login.  Attendees will require a RCSI network account to access the PCs.  These machines are general access computers and as such have additional security features which can cause some general applications and some websites to behave in an unexpected fashion. To ensure your training session runs smoothly, it is recommended that presenters test applications or websites in the Computer Room in advance of their teaching/training session, please contact the library team to book in a testing session.

If any additional applications are required the trainer must contact the IT helpdesk on 402 2273 or e-mail helpdesk@rcsi.ie. A case number will be generated to track the progress of your request. IT request reasonable notice if new applications are required for a teaching session. Although every effort is made to keep the applications up to date on these computers no system is perfect and if you experience problems during a test please contact the IT helpdesk helpdesk@rcsi.ie.
