Enhancing RCSI’s international reputation is key to our success
Enhancing RCSI’s international reputation is important for the success of our academics and researchers. Working together to communicate our achievements helps to boost the university’s visibility and in turn, the visibility of our schools and research groups. This provides numerous benefits to our Education/Research community, including aiding in the recruitment of high-quality PhD and post-doctoral researchers, increasing grant funding success rates as more funding bodies require a communications and public visibility element, and facilitating collaboration with other institutions. You can help in the following ways:
- Add your research or education collaborators to our stakeholder database via Grace Scully
- Complete your online research profile via RIMS
- Follow the Publishing for Impact guide to enhance your research outputs (2024/25 version)
- Avail of the supports available to help you understand your bibliometrics (LibGuides, SciVal, Altmetric etc.)
- Use RCSI’s research slide templates during international conference presentations/meetings
- Create an active professional profile on social media:
- Host an international research conference or workshop at RCSI
- Collaborate and engage internationally
- Submit a list of your collaborator contacts to the Insights & Planning Office to ensure they receive our newsletters and event invitations
- Encourage collaborators to sign up to RCSI’s education & research newsletters
- Inform RCSI Communications about research innovations, grants and high impact publication stories
