The History of Anatomy in Trinity College Dublin
Professor Davis Coakley
The lecture will describe the development of anatomy teaching in Trinity College from its foundation in 1711. The department has had several very able professors its staff including George Cleghorn, James Macartney and Daniel Cunningham. It will conclude with a description of the outline future plans for the old anatomy lecture theatre, museum and dissecting hall.
