RCSI Ultra-runner smashes course record for “Britain’s most brutal race”

Congratulations to Eoin Keith (RCSI IT Department) who ,on the 13th January, won the 2016 Montane Spine Race, known as ‘Britain’s most brutal race’. Not only did he win but he obliterated the course record by a whopping 15 hours, finishing with a mind-blowing time of 95 hours, 43 minutes (just short of four days). The ‘Spine Race’, it is a 268 mile (431km), non-stop, uncompromising winter challenge encompassing the entire Pennine Way. Only the most hardened of ultra runners even attempt this so this makes Eoin’s achievement even more immense.
