
The annual RCSI Research Day got underway on Thursday 25th February at the College on St Stephen’s Green, Dublin. This is the image on the cover of the book of abstracts and shows What #breastcancer looks like on Twitter. This image was generated from 96,000 tweets containing #breastcancer, collected over a 71 day period. Twitter users are represented as dots with interactions between users (user mentions and retweets) shown as lines. A larger dot indicates how connected a user is and also influential they are in the twitter conversation about breast cancer.This phenomenal image was created by Richard Arnett (QEO), Jane Burns (HPEC) and Eric Clarke (Foundation Year & Physiotherapy).
