The National Office of Clinical Audit and the Irish Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery are hosting a lecture to be given by Professor Stephen Graves.
Professor Graves, an orthopaedic surgeon, has been Director of the Australian Orthopaedic Association National Joint Replacement Registry since it was established in 1999. Professor Graves is also Professor of Arthroplasty at Flinders University and has a Doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Oxford in bone biology. He has presented and published extensively on the outcomes of joint replacement surgery and basic musculoskeletal biology. He also holds the positions of Chairman of the International Consortium of Orthopaedic Registries and Member-at-Large of the International Society of Arthroplasty Registers.
Professor Graves will speak to the benefits of a National Arthroplasty Register for patients, institutions, surgeons and the Health Service.
