Pamphlets Galore!! – Latest RCSI Heritage Collections Blog

Dated - August 12, 2016

Hi All,

It might surprise you to know that pamphlets have been around since the 12th century and derived their name from Pamphilus, a loved-up character in a Latin play which did the rounds as a slim booklet. As this drama was so popular and widely read, Pamphilus may not have gotten the girl, but he did define the format! Our Heritage Collections have a wonderful collection of 6,000 which are currently being catalogued. Read more about it on the Heritage Collections Blog here:

Kind regards,
