The FutureNeuro research centre, led by Prof Henshall, received funding from SFI totalling at over €7 million over 6 years. Dr Engel was successful in receiving almost € 3.5 million for his PurinesDX study, and Prof Annette Byrne (missing from photo) received €3.8 million for the consortium, GLIOTRAIN: which is researching treatments for the form of brain cancer, Glioblastoma.
