This workshop provides an opportunity for administrative and technical staff who wish to identify their professional development direction, to do so through exploring their interests and goals and assisting them in articulating their unique skills and abilities. The session will provide tools and opportunities to encourage participants to:
(1) understand what their career journey could look like and the actions necessary to achieve their goals.
(2) define and appreciate their own valued experience and competencies and create a compelling CV based on this.
(3) further develop how to fully and positively share their strengths with others – moving them closer to achieving their professional development goal(s).
The workshop is focused on positions which are outside the academic career framework and will include practical examples of career progression possibilities in those roles.
