Job Title: Research Programme Manager
Department: Department of Psychiatry, Psychosis Ireland Structured Programme (PSI-STAR)
Tenure: 4 years, specified purpose contract. Full or part-time available
Location: CRC Beaumont Hospital (opportunity for hybrid work arrangements)
Reporting to: Professor David Cotter
Salary: Up to €43,282 pro rata, dependent on experience

Summary of Post
The Research Programme Manager post will involve a combination of management, leadership and administration along with opportunities to participate in and contribute to research. The post-holder will play a central role as part of the Psychosis Ireland Structured Training and Research Programme (PSI-STAR), an all-Ireland, cross-disciplinary training and research programme. PSI-STAR is funded through a Health Research Board Collaborative Doctoral Award (CDA), a structured doctoral training program leading to the award of a PhD. The PSI-STAR team is made up of a newly established consortium of leading psychosis researchers, experts through lived experience, clinicians, young people and others, all of whom share an interest in changing how we think and respond to people who experience psychosis.
Specific Duties Include:
- Support the leadership team in the running of PSI-STAR governance and management activities
- Maintain appropriate and effective communication, meeting and reporting relationships with all members of the PSI-STAR consortium.
- Monitor the implementation of the PSI-STAR programme and work with the programme team to ensure that the milestones and timelines are met
- Engage with and support the PSI-STAR PhD scholars
- Liaise with host organisations to establish and coordinate a calendar of core training activities across academic institutes
- Support ongoing evaluation of the programme
- Perform other job-related duties assigned by supervisor or manager
- Update the PSI-STAR website with current news surrounding the fellowship
- Utilise existing national and international communications avenues to promote PSI-STAR and publicise outputs
- Maintain and expand social media activities
- Coordinate key events and gatherings (e.g. training, networking, annual researcher meetings)
Qualifications – (Essential):
- Undergraduate degree is essential
- Postgraduate degree is desirable
- Education and training in the field of mental health and research are desirable
