Title: HR Partner

Contract type/duration: Temporary Full Time (maternity leave cover)
Main Objective:
To provide on-going support to growing teams with varying HR needs across IT, Corporate Strategy, School of Nursing and Midwifery, General Practice, RCSI SIM, Admissions, Student Services, Mercer Medical Centre and Library.
Responsibilities include developing and ensuring execution of HR priorities that align with business university objectives while providing value as a HR Partner to grow the business.
This individual will collaborate with functional leadership and their teams to roll out strategic initiatives being implemented by the HR Director and will provide local guidance on a variety of initiatives such as compensation, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, recruitment, and employee development.
Specific duties:
- To support the HR Director to achieve the HR team’s strategic objectives, as set out in the HR Strategy by acting as the HR lead on a range of different responsibilities.
- Support cultural changes across the College through a variety of different methods (following staff feedback) enabling managers to more effectively line manage and take greater responsibility for their staff
- Recruitment responsibility across several different areas within the College to include: review resource requirements, business case development, support job description development etc.
- Act as point of contact on all PDP and on-going Performance Management matters
- To act as Change Agent in Managing Organisational Change where this relates to HR activities e.g. employee relations, compulsory redundancies and job restructures
- Acting as an ambassador for the HR Business Partner model, actively driving up standards to highlight the benefits of the model for all staff and managers.
- Support the School of Nursing and Midwifery with their Athena Swan action plan
