Target audience: RCSI researchers with an interest in entrepreneurship and commercialisation

Goal: Enabling RCSI researchers to maximise the commercial potential of their research

After this course, the researcher should be able to understand:

• How to pitch effectively
• What investors want to see in a pitch deck
• How to define and articulate your unique value proposition
• How to avoid common mistakes when pitching
• How to anticipate and deal with difficult questions
• Examples of successful pitch decks
• How to manage confidentiality when pitching externally

Eimear Gleeson

The Atlantic Bridge University Fund is an investment fund dedicated to commercialisation of ground-breaking university research and scaling global businesses. In her role as an Investment Associate, Eimear is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities within the Life Sciences and Healthcare sectors.

Prior to joining Atlantic Bridge, Eimear worked as part of Enterprise Ireland’s Life Sciences and Food Commercialisation team supporting development of technology-based, innovative businesses within the medical technology, biopharmaceutical and agricultural technology sectors.

Eimear has previously worked in Research and Development roles within both industry and academia and holds a First Class Honours BSc in Human Nutrition and PhD in Molecular Medicine from Trinity College Dublin.
