Jessica Halligan, from the Department of Surgical Affairs, will be running a stall at the MART Christmas market in Rathmines on 12th, 13th, 19th, and 20th December with all proceeds from sales going to the Dublin Simon Community. Eunan Friel from the Department of Surgical Affairs kindly sponsored the stall for the entire duration of the event and Jessica has enlisted help and donations from a talented group of friends, with donations coming from:
- Renowned Irish illustrator and regular contributor to Rolling Stone Magazine and The New Yorker, Conor Langton,
- The creative genius behind Oslo-based craft-ware company “fromfitoyou”, Fiona Murphy
- Glassware artist, Helen Harty,
- Wine donations from Next Door Off-Licence Group and C&C Gleesons Wine Distributors for mulled wine,
- Pop art “snood” scarves
- Hand-crocheted gloves and hats
- Crayons painstaking melted to form Lego men and robot crayons for optimal “drawability” (her niece’s conclusion) and cuteness
- Mulling spices in handmade muslin drawstring bags, Amber droplet earrings much, much & more…
RCSI staff are encouraged to head down to Rathmines Christmas MART over the next couple of weekends and show their support for the Simon Community. Best of luck to Jessica!
