The RCSI Transition Year MiniMed School Programme offers a five day experience for Transition year students interested in a career in Medicine. The programme covers a wide variety of topics and is designed to introduce the student to both undergraduate and postgraduate aspects of a career in medicine. It takes place in RCSI, 123 St. Stephen’s Green and in Beaumont Hospital.
The initiative gives Transition Year students the opportunity to experience what it is like to train and work as a doctor. Students have the opportunity to witness a live operation via video link to the operating theatre.
