Louise Loughran – Chief Communications Officer

Louise’s role is to lead and direct the Communications team to drive activities in line with our strategic plan and vision to be recognised internationally as a leading centre for professional education, research and innovation in healthcare. Louise is also responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of communications and marketing strategies which will contribute to the achievement of our vision. The public affairs nature of her role provides support to the CEO and SMT in the development and maintaining of relationships with key external stakeholders such as government, senior civil servants and policy advisers. Louise also works closely with the CEO and SMT in managing any crisis that requires communications support.

Paula Curtin – Head of Communications

Paula leads the implementation of RCSI’s strategic communications and engagement plan, ensuring that RCSI’s reputation is protected and enhanced among a range of stakeholder groups. Paula develops communications strategies which aim to position RCSI as a global leader in healthcare education and research. She provides strategic direction for the University’s media activity and social media engagement and measures and reports on the impact of our communications activity. She also works with the Chief Communications Officer to manage RCSI’s crisis communications.

Paula also manages RCSI’s Design Team.

Jane Butler – Communications Manager

As Communications Manager Jane’s responsibilities focus on education and research strategic communications. In addition to planning and implementing external public relations activities for RCSI’s research, events and other activities related to education and research, her responsibilities also include managing the production of publications including the RCSI Annual Report.

Anne Whelton – Web Strategy and Development Manager

As Web Strategy and Development Manager, Anne is responsible for developing and implementing  communications and marketing strategies on RCSI’s main digital platforms. Anne provides editorial oversight and strategic direction for all websites in the RCSI network, ensuring consistency in branding, design and user experience, and works with internal and external stakeholders on the development of new web properties.

Colin White – Web Content Specialist

Working with the Web Strategy and Development Manager, Colin is is the first point of contact for content authors with edit requests and queries related to the maintenance of their departmental pages on rcsi.com. Colin works with internal stakeholders to ensure they have the knowledge and tools required to effectively communicate with their online audience.
