Dear Colleagues,
The RCSI Transition Year MiniMed Programme is a major event in the RCSI calendar. The 2016 programme will take place between RCSI St Stephen’s Green and Beaumont from 11th – 15th January 2016.
The programme is designed to give the students from all over Ireland the opportunity to experience what it is like to train and work as a doctor. The programme consists of lectures, practicals and live surgeries via video link to the operating theatre, all of which are carried out by leading professionals in their respective areas.
Places on the programme, which are limited to 180, are highly sought after and very competitive.
RCSI remains committed to its staff and are therefore offering a number of places to interested TY students of staff members before the call goes out nationally to secondary schools.
To facilitate this, registration for interested TY students of staff members is now open online here.
The following details will be required to complete registration:
- The name of the nominated son/daughter plus their date of birth
- The name of the school they attend
- Your own name, department and contact details
Please note:
- Staff places are limited and will be allocated on a lottery basis
- Students MUST be in Transition Year in January 2016 to get a place on the programme
- Registrations can only be accepted from staff members whose own children (sons/daughters) are interested in joining the TY programme. Should you have an extended family member/friend you would like to nominate please feel free to apply online however places WILL be allocated to sons/daughters first.
Please click here to register online.
Kind regards,
Steve Kerrigan
