Date for your diary: Workshop ‘Making Lectures Interesting

Dear colleagues,

In collaboration with the Quality Enhancement Office we have invited Professor Marcy Rosenbaum* to facilitate a workshop entitled ‘Making Lectures Interesting’.

The workshop will be held on Wednesday 8th May 2013 from 14.00 – 16.00 in the Albert Lecture Theatre, RCSI, St. Stephens Green. The workshop is open to all staff members. However places are limited and staff will be required to register for the workshop. Further information and details on how to register will be made available in the coming weeks. If in the meantime, please take note of this date in your diaries, and if you have any queries please contact quality@rcsi.ie.

*Dr. Marcy Rosenbaum is Dr. Harold A. Myer Distinguished Professor of Medical Education, Associate Professor of Family Medicine and Faculty Development Consultant in the Office of Consultation and Research in Medical Education at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. She directs several faculty development programs including the Teaching Scholars Program, Community Teaching Scholars Program, Biannual Faculty Teaching Skills Workshop and Teaching Skills Seminars and the Fellows as Clinician Educators (FACE) Program and is one of the primary faculty for the UI Masters in Medical Education Degree Program. She teaches, conducts research and publishes in the areas of clinician-patient communication and medical education in the US and in Europe
