On Monday the 9th September International Guest Speaker Dr. Saki Santorelli from the Medical School in Massachusetts will be speaking to an audience of educators and clinicians from RCSI. Dr. Santorelli will be sharing his experience and insights on over three decades of clinical practice and teaching on Mindfulness in Medicine. His work and reflections are drawn from his research and practice in MBSR at the Centre for Mindfulness in Massachusetts.

Dr. Santorelli, Ed.D., M.A. is Executive Director of the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society, Director of the acclaimed Stress Reduction Clinic – the clinic of origin of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) and an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Division of Preventive and Behavioral Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
He has made pioneering advances in Mind-Body Integrative Medicine, through the clinical application of mindfulness. Since 1980, Dr. Santorelli has worked with thousands of medical educators, patients and helped mentor practitioners of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR).
