The Mayo Clinic runs a highly successful simulation centre: as the RCSI NEAB emerges we can learn from this experience. Dr. Dunn will synthesise lessons learned pertaining to the creation, implementation, and impact of simulation-based experiential learning.
Dr. William Dunn is a pulmonologist/intensivist at Mayo Clinic and Past President of the US Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). He is recipient of multiple Mayo Clinic awards for clinical and educational excellence, and led a team in the design and implementation of the Mayo Clinic Multidisciplinary Simulation Center, where he served as Medical Director 2005- 2012. He continues to serve the SSH Accreditation Council, Accreditation Board of Review, and the Systems Integration Accreditation Subcommittee.
