“SWATs: research to improve research to improve health”
Professor Mike Clarke, Director of the All Ireland Hub for Trials Methodology Research will discuss the SWAT (Study Within A Trial) Initiative to facilitate research that will improve the methods of randomised trials. He will illustrate his talk with examples of trials that have changed lives, and encourage the audience to identify areas of uncertainty about the methods for prospective research which could be SWATed.
