EU-COST Action ADMIRE holds Annual Scientific Meeting in RCSI

The EU COST Action ADMIRE held its Annual Scientific Meeting in RCSI on 2nd & 3rd March 2017. The meeting hosted representatives from top universities in 20 EU countries along with Turkey and Israel to discuss the latest research in hypertension and comorbidities. Many of the EU representatives are the heads of the most influential research centres and prestigious universities in Europe - PARCC Paris, Descartes University Paris, Padua University, IRCCS San Raffaele Rome, KNAW Royal Dutch Academy, DAVAS Madrid University, Jagiellonian University Krakow, Charité Berlin, Weizmann Institute Israel. The Meeting Organiser Prof Brian Harvey remarked that the participants were impressed by RCSI's hospitality, historical legacy and international reach in medical research and training. The early stage researchers were particularly enthused by Prof Ciaran O'Boyle's inspirational keynote lecture on leadership for the modern age. Congratulations to Lorraine Nolan (Daly), Programme Manager (Molecular Medicine) who as local organiser, ensured a smooth running of the meeting and warm hospitality for our EU guests.
