Pictured (l-r) is Don Thornhill, RCSI; and Tommy Bergin, Dublin YMCA at the Skillet initiative at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). Skillet is a pop-up restaurant initiative by YMCA, hosted by unemployed, Dublin inner-city young adults, where they are trained to host their own one-night only, pop-up restaurant. Not only were they trained by Dublin’s finest chefs, but they learned how to do front-of-house service. In the process the participants will also experience the thrill of working as a team, being creative and getting a job well done. The REACH RCSI programme is a partner of this initiative
