On Thursday 15th October, Anne delivered a lecture, entitled “Exercise as Medicine for Cancer”, to students and staff at Beaumont Hospital. The lecture discussed how exercise is an important aspect of cancer care, from prevention through long-term survival. It reviewed the state of the evidence on how exercise and physical activity interact in all phases of cancer care, as well as provided suggestions for helping patients adopt physically active lifestyles.
