This pays tribute to Ireland's eminent geriatrician, Dr. Jack Flanagan, who was one of the first doctors in Ireland to specialise in contemporary geriatric medicine. It is an intervarsity competition between TCD, UCD, RCSI, UCC, UL and UCG. RCSI were the holding champions and thus hosted the event. The team UCC won the competition on this occasion.
