About the post: 

Regular Giving and Digital campaigns are integral within RCSI’s Alumni Giving Programme. The role advertised is closely aligned with both the Fundraising Team and the Alumni Relations Team to ensure that all strategies and campaigns are holistic, data driven and digital forward. We wish to offer a maternity cover contract to oversee Regular Giving and Digital Campaigns within the Development Office. This role combines fundraising approaches such as direct mail and telephone communications with digital communication tactics to maximise success. The programme of work consists of three annual fundraising campaigns which combine direct mail and digital fundraising to optimise engagement and giving from alumni. As such, the successful candidate will have a good foundational knowledge of fundraising as well as digital fluency and a key understanding of digital marketing tactics and strategies.

In addition to raising funds for Student Programmes, a key focus of the current programme of work is to collaborate with the Alumni Relations team to implement the strategy to engage GOLD (graduates of the last decade) alumni across four pillars; fundraising, event attendance, volunteering, and communications. Understanding that the pathway to giving is a multifaceted relationship between the donor and RCSI is crucial to success and as such the successful candidate will have a good understanding of relationship building techniques and database management.

The successful candidate will have good knowledge of donor behaviour across various demographics, and will have the ability to create engaging content aimed at each cohort. Additionally, to interpret and report on data identifying and highlighting any key trends and reacting accordingly. They will be enthusiastic about continuing to drive the Programme forward with a digital first attitude, keeping the Regular Giving and Digital Fundraising Programme on target and on trend with the most current methods in both digital and direct mail.
