Workshop on Future Healthcare – Biomedical Sciences, Technologies & Applications

As part of the Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) funded International Strategic Collaboration Award (ISCA) Japan, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), in collaboration with Hoshi University, Tokyo hosted a second workshop on Future Healthcare – Biomedical Sciences, Technologies & Applications. The workshop will be held on 21-22 April 2016 here in RCSI, Dublin.

The first workshop was held at Hoshi University, Tokyo, last October, the main objective of which was to identify potential synergies for research collaboration, joint funding applications and student exchanges; a number of colleagues from RCSI travelled to Hoshi University for this event.

The aim of the workshop in Dublin was to advance initial discussions by providing a platform for researchers from both institutes to showcase their work. In addition to the scientific track, there was a round-table discussions on joint applications for future scientific and industry funding towards innovative, applied research and technologies.
