Library Seminar: The Spanish Flu – A Century of Medical Science and Public Health Response

The Spanish Flu was one of the greatest pandemics of all time. Though it was overshadowed at the time by the first World War, the disease in fact killed more people than the first and second world wars combined, killing approximately 50-100 million people.

To mark the centenary of the first outbreak of the pandemic, RCSI Library invites you to an evening of talks where speakers will discuss the historical, medical and social impact of the pandemic, as well as current research being carried out in the area of epidemiology and public health.
