Prof. Frances Horgan, School of Physiotherapy, and Dr Michelle Flood, School of Pharmacy, were presented with ‘President Teaching Awards’ at the undergraduate conferring dinner on Wednesday, 14 November 2018.
The RCSI President’s Teaching Awards were established in 2009 to recognise excellence in undergraduate teaching within RCSI.
The recipients are chosen by RCSI students by means of on-line anonymous voting through the annual student surveys administered by the Quality Enhancement Office. Initially the awards were presented to academic staff from the School of Medicine and subsequently presented every alternative year to academic staff from the Schools of Physiotherapy & Pharmacy.
Mr Kenneth Mealy, RCSI President, said “I would like to congratulate Prof. Horgan and Dr Flood on their well deserves awards and their ongoing commitment to excellence in teaching at RCSI. On behalf of all students, I am delighted to recognise them in this way.”
