RCSI will host an official Pride celebration, for the first time, from 11am – 2pm on Saturday, 30 June 2018.
The RCSI Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Unit is delighted to host our partners the Transgender Equality Network in Ireland (TENI), including this year’s Pride Parade Grand Marshall Sara Philips, and will be welcoming TENI representatives and their families to the College to mark the occasion. TENI has provided in-house training for over 100 RCSI staff to date and also supported the recently launched Gender Identity and Expression Policy.
We would also like to extend a warm invitation to all College staff and their families to join the festivities on the day to support LGBTQ+ staff, students and community members. We will provide a welcome breakfast, light entertainment, face-painting and a pop-up photo booth.
We are also seeking RCSI volunteers to assist the RCSI Pride Network and EDI Unit on the day. Any assistance would be very much appreciated and you can sign up for a volunteer slot here.
