One night at RCSI this Christmas…
On Thursday, 29 November, RCSI staff will bed down for one night at work, all for a very worthy cause.
Staff will ‘sleep-in’ at the RCSI lobby area in order to raise funds for the Peter McVerry Trust, a charity set up by Fr Peter McVerry to reduce homelessness and the harm caused by drug misuse and social disadvantage.
The RCSI Sleep-In team has set an ambitious target of €5,000.
The Peter McVerry Trust provides low-threshold entry services, primarily to younger people and vulnerable adults with complex needs, and offers pathways out of homelessness based on the principles of the ‘Housing First’ model.
SUPPORT: If you would like to donate, you can donate in person on 29 November or donate online.
A representative from the Father Peter McVerry trust will be there on the day along with members of the RCSI Sleep-In Team: Alma Brennan, Triona Ni Chonghaile, Patsy Connolly, Maria Morgan, Linda Nugent, Mark O’Dea and Chanel Watson.
JOIN IN: If you would like to volunteer to support the RCSI Sleep-In please contact Patsy Connolly and be sure to follow the event on Twitter @SleepInRCSI
