Pickup by bus: 9:30am  in Dublin City, Nassau Street near Kilkenny Design

Agenda and route information below:

  •         Drive to Wicklow.
  •         The Walk – Derybawn Orange Route – Glendalough

o   Starting from the Visitor centre in Glendalough we pass through the Old Monastic site of St Kevin.

o   From here we cross the river and turn left to what is called the old green road and take in the orange route in this area.

o   This is a fantastic walk with gentle slopes on good forested track bringing us along the side of Derrybawn, overlooking the old monastery and upper lake of Glendalough.

o   We come down by the Poolanass waterfall and return by the board walk back to the Glendalough Hotel.

o   We will stop along the way, for a packed lunch. Bring your own lunch.

o   Loop Walk : easy – moderate.

  •         Will visit the Glendalough Hotel afterwards for a cup of tea.
  •         Back to Dublin city for approx. 16:00.
  •         What to bring for walk:

o   Walking boots.

o    Raingear

o   Lunch.

o   Snacks

o    Water

o   Camera
