Goal: Enabling RCSI researchers to capture the commercial potential of their research
After this course, the researcher should be able to understand:
- How the IDF fits into the commercialisation process
- What constitutes an invention
- When to disclose an invention
- How to articulate the invention’s value proposition
- Who qualifies as an inventor
- How much technical information to include
- What constitutes Prior Art
- What constitutes Public Disclosure
- The significance of funding streams
- How to identify relevant partner companies
