MSc regulations

In addition to the Core Rules and Regulations, the following Regulations are specific to MSc study at RCSI. These are further divided into Research MSc, Industrial Research MSc and Taught MSc.

Research MSc:

Student eligibility criteria

  • BSc (2.2) lower second class honours degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent.
  • Minimum English language IELTS(academic) score of >6.5 (or equivalent) for international students.

Supervisor eligibility criteria

  • Main supervisor must be a permanent member of RCSI faculty, or permanently employed honorary faculty (e.g. medical consultants).
  • Secondary/co-supervisor can be a temporary staff member (e.g. postdoctoral scientist), or honorary faculty (e.g. medical consultants) or academic/industry collaborators outside RCSI.
