The postal service operates from the Post room at the rear of the Reception/Porters desk – main building (Ext 2263).
We provide a first class postal service to all RCSI departments for delivery and collection of internal and delivered items. Once received, all incoming post is delivered between 9.00am -10.00am daily and outgoing post will be sorted and collected by An Post at 4:00 pm daily.
All outgoing post (RCSI house, Beaux Lane House, Mercer library, Mercer GP) must be ready for collection at 3.00pm daily.
Please note
- All post for collection must be separated – internal, nationwide and international
- Clearly mark all outgoing mail with Department code number.
- Please contact the Porters desk if there are any large quantities of post for processing before 12:30pm to avoid any delay for same day postal service.
- All registered post requires a signature by the recipient when delivered by a member of the Porter team for Post room records.
There is no postal service on Saturdays/Sundays, Bank holidays or College closure days.
Courier Service
There is a weekly return courier service from RCSI SSG to RCSI Beaumont and RCSI Sandyford.
All items leaving must be at the Post room for 12 noon collection.
RCSI use Cyclone Couriers as a courier service for local, national and international.
All items for dispatch can be left at the Porter’s desk for recording and collection. Please ensure that the recipients address details are correct and that the sender’s details are included in the event of the item being returned.
