Backup Policy & Procedure

Items covered under this policy

  • Workstations will not be accommodated in this policy. No workstation, laptop or remote device of any type will be included in a backup schedule. It is the end user’s responsibility to ensure their data is stored on the server they have been assigned to by the IT Department. These servers are backed up according to the backup schedule.

Backup Schedule

  • Servers are backed up according to schedules, as required by the systems and software running on said server.
  • Where possible, data will be restored to a developmental network in a simulated College environment to ensure integrity.

Data Recovery / Restoration

  • Any loss of data must be reported to the IT Department immediately upon discovery.
