The Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor’s (DGSA’s) appointed by RCSI organises the day to day activities involved in the transporting of dangerous goods and monitor compliance with the transport and associated Regulations in the European Union and other countries. Here in RCSI, we have appointed 2No. DGSA’s and 1No. Chemical Waste Coordinator.

The DGSA’s have developed a 2015_Guide to the Carraige of Dangerous Goods for RCSI for all Staff members involved with dangerous goods and in particular the disposal of such waste.
In addition to the dangerous goods guide there is also a safe operating procedure for HSP-18 Transporting Patient Specimens that staff should ensure compliance with.
