This course is relevant to Principal Investigators, Research Nurses’ and associated research staff involved in the set up and conduct of clinical trials. Recommended for staff who have not previously worked in clinical trials.

Learning outcomes

  • Understand the key processes involved in Drug Development and Clinical Research
  • Critically appreciate the Ethical and Regulatory Framework for Governance of Clinical Research in Ireland
  • Understand the application of the Principles of Good Clinical Practice within the research practice setting
  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of Investigator Responsibilities in Clinical Research
