A professional industry relationship management team within RCSI’s Office of Research and Innovation offer extensive support to RCSI researchers seeking to work with industry through collaborative, contract or consultancy engagements. This team drives the RCSI Industry Engagement process and provides the following supports to RCSI researchers:
- Identification of relevant industry partners for collaborative, contract or consultancy engagements
- Advice on the most appropriate mechanism of engaging with industry taking account of the objectives the Researcher wishes to achieve from the engagement
- Advice on the most appropriate means of funding the industry engagement activity
- Advice on how to ensure the industry engagement activity is correctly budgeted and resourced
- Promotion of Researcher expertise, competencies and infrastructure to relevant companies
- Assistance in the development of funding proposals to industry and government funding agencies for industry fully funded and co-funded programmes
- Review of the legal agreements that govern the industry engagement
- Advice on how to sustain and scale existing industry engagements
