What is Managing Through People?
Managing Through People is RCSI’s comprehensive management development programme for our people managers. The programme aims to support the personal and professional development of managers who play such a pivotal role in the success of the University. MTP focuses on three core areas essential for success as a manager:
- Leading Self
- Leading Others
- Leading Change
The structure of the programme is designed to support each participant’s development through a variety of methods including instructor led modules, peer mentoring, 360 feedback and psychometric profiling. Together, these provide a rich platform for personal and professional growth. The programme runs from January to June 2023 and a full outline can be found here.
Who is eligible to participate?
Managing Through People is open to anyone with people management responsibilities in RCSI (ideally managing a team of 3+). There will be a maximum of 15 on the programme and the group will have a mix of participants from academic, research and professional support areas of the College.
How do I apply?
Participation will be through Head of Department/Head of School nomination so if you are interested in attending please discuss with your Head of Department/School. Please submit nominations here by the closing date of December 16th 2022, the programme commences on January 19th 2023. We will endeavour to ensure gender balance and representation from right across the University in the cohort but please note that if you are not offered a space on this occasion the programme will run again.
